When Heather + Justin asked me to photograph their wedding in FREAKING FLORIDA, I was totally game (even though sketchy shit in the news always happens in Florida…).

Casey and I were totally stoked for our warm Florida getaway during the cold PNW winter but that didn’t end up happening… remember that crazy Florida snow storm that was on the news in January? Yea… that was the week we were there. While Orlando area didn’t get any of the snow, it was cold and clear but totally beautiful.

Heather + Justin’s wedding was a good one–we got to ride around on a golf cart to different locations after the ceremony (I LOVE it when couples make photos a priority like this!), and I’m not gonna lie, our golf cart driver was a young Leonardo DiCaprio doppelgänger. I was kind of having a Titanic fan girl moment… “Where to, Miss?” “To the stars!” (If you know, you know.)

These two are kind, funny, and so loved by their friends and family. The best part? They were laid back and just PUMPED to get married. And everyone was literally so nice to Casey and I, like we were family! So crazy, Heather and Justin moved to Washington last month and actually live 10 minutes from us. We’re going over to their house for dinner tomorrow night. You have no idea how happy that makes me!! Clients turning into friends… and then neighbors… literally the best thing ever.
