Beachy and Intimate Backyard Wedding // Whidbey Island, WA // Hanna + Shane

I had such an amazing day with Hanna and Shane celebrating their love during their beachy and intimate backyard wedding in Whidbey Island, Washington. Their colorful and romantic ceremony took place during a gorgeous spring day in May and I honestly… it was all perfection. Hanna and Shane shared such an authentic and genuine day with their family and friends that had me smiling all day long.

On the morning of her wedding day, Hanna spent some adorable moments getting ready beside her mom in a beautiful beachy Airbnb on Whidbey Island. I loved that they were able to take the morning together as a family! Hanna wore such a simple, and elegant dress that she looked absolutely stunning in. She shared the sweetest first look with her father, overlooking the trees of the PNW. It was such an adorable moment. Let me tell you, Hanna’s family was hilarious! They seriously had me laughing so hard all day long.

I loved the ceremony space for Hanna and Shane’s day. Their wedding was incredibly intimate, and although their guest list was small, there was such an overwhelming amount of genuine love and support surrounding them. Hanna and Shane included so many gorgeous, bohemian details in their ceremony and their arch was so pretty! These two lovers shared the most hilarious and loving vows, and even took a shot with all their guests! Every detail of their day felt so personal to them, their family, and their personality and it was incredibly refreshing and special to be a part of.

Following their ceremony, Hanna and Shane signed their marriage license, and ran off to the beach to soak in their new titles as Mr. and Mrs. The weather was gorgeous, and I had so much fun chasing these two around the beach. Hanna and Shane have the sort of love that you can really feel through the photos, and they are definitely best friends. They spent so much of their day laughing together and just having the best time ever.

Later on, Hanna and Shane took another moment to run off together. One of my favorite things about this day is how they really took the opportunity to slow down throughout the day, and share those special moments as a couple. Hanna smiled from ear to ear as she opened a bracelet given to her by Shane, and it seriously made me so happy to see.

After changing into another gorgeous dress, Hanna and Shane gathered around the table with their family and friends. They shared such meaningful and loving toasts, and like I said before, so much laughter around the dinner table.

After dinner, Hanna and Shane ventured into the backyard with their guests. They spent their evening playing backyard games, and creating such special wedding day memories. Their day was so intimate and meaningful, and I really love that every moment was surrounded by people having a genuinely good time. Towards the end of the evening, I grabbed some more photos of these two. They were so much fun, and their love was so raw and fun to document. I had such a fun, hilarious time with these two during their intimate day, and I hope you all can feel the love from these photos!
