I had such an incredible time celebrating with Carly and Nate in Port Angeles during their rustic and elegant wedding day! Their romantic wedding day took place on a gorgeous summer day in July at Twin Creeks wedding venue on the Olympic Peninsula, and I seriously couldn’t have imagined a better day for these two lovers! I first connected with Carly and Nate when I captured their engagement photos, and I was SO excited to see them finally tie the knot! These two are such a sweet and fun loving couple, and their wedding day did not disappoint!
Carly started her wedding day very laid back, alongside the sweetest bridal party, Every single one of them looked absolutely stunning, and they were such a fun group of girls to hangout with! As I mentioned before, I first met Carly and Nate as a couple during their engagements. However, Carly and I go pretty far back! I actually took her senior photos! ! It was pretty cool to look back on hanging out with her when she was a senior, and seeing her as a bride, marrying the love of her life! Nate spent the morning with his boys, and they were super fun! Most of their bridal party are all friends from college, so it was super exciting for them to all be together again, and celebrate such a sweet couple!
After getting zipped into her dress by her mom and sharing a prayer with her bridesmaids, Carly was on her way to her first look with her dad. These two definitely value family, and their first look was super sweet! They laughed, cried, and I’m so glad I was able to document such a special moment between these two!
Carly and Nate shared their first look in one of the prettiest spots at the venue! I love capturing first looks for so many reasons. It’s such a great opportunity for you and your person to slow down, and take a deep breath after a pretty difficult morning avoiding each other. Carly was glowing in her elegant, beaded lace gown. Nate was blown away by her, and I was so ready to watch these two get married! We rounded up their bridal party, and there was no shortage of excitement for these two!
The ceremony space was incredible! Carly and Nate decided to keep the area pretty simple, and the backdrop was everything! Outdoor venues in the PNW pretty much always blow my mind, and this one was amazing. I loved their romantic, elegant floral arch, and they looked amazing against the Olympic Mountains and full, green trees. Their ceremony was loving, intimate and relaxed. After exchanging vows and sharing a prayer with their friends and family, these two kissed and were officially husband and wife!
As the sun set, the beauty of this venue only got better and better. I loved the venue they chose, because there were so many places to run around and take photos at. Also, it’s literally 10 minutes away from my house which is the best thing ever. We took some stunning golden hour photos, and I love the way the photos turned out!
This reception was so much fun! I love being able to shoot weddings in my hometowns, because most times I end up knowing pretty much everyone. It’s always one big party, and I love being able to do what I love alongside friends! Carly and Nate are both huge athletes, and tons of their guests were actually teammates. Since all the guests were so close, the party was epic! Also, their wedding dinner was barbecue, and trust me I was not complaining! I had so much fun capturing Carly and Nate’s incredible day, and I can’t wait to capture more exciting milestones for them along the way!
