Karli and Calum’s camp vibes wedding at The River House was seriously so stunning. They wanted to stay away from decor that leaned on the feminine side, and in my opinion, they achieved the perfect balance. With a Glamp Photo Booth, handmade details done by Karli + her bridesmaids, and no shortage of pizza, this wedding knocked it out of the park.
Both Karli and Calum were born and raised in the PNW and grew up going camping and being outdoors. So of course, they wanted to incorporate those aspects into their wedding day and did an amazing job with it. I love when couples choose to personalize their wedding as much as possible, and not just because it makes it even more fun to photograph.
For Calum, his favorite part of his wedding day was seeing his bride walk down the aisle (can it get any sweeter than that?) and seeing the sun hit Mt. Index after finally being married. For Karli, she loves how the sun broke through the clouds mid-ceremony and immediately she felt the entire day come together. All of a sudden, she said a massive weight was lifted off her shoulders and it truly felt like her and Calum were the only two people in the world. And that my friends, is exactly how you should feel on the most special day of your life.
As you guys can see, the view everyone had at this wedding was simply breathtaking. Not only was the scenery to die for, but they really outdid themselves with the decor. All of the bouquets were very on-brand for the theme of the wedding; deep, earthy tones and lots of greenery. Karli’s bridesmaids dresses were all super unique and complemented everyone so well!
Now onto Karli’s dress… she actually designed the top half of her outfit herself. Because she’s an apparel designer by day, she wanted to create something that perfectly complemented her Lis Simon skirt. And let me tell you, she looked amazing in it.
At the end of the day, Karli and Calum’s wedding was exactly what they wanted. It was an honor being able to photograph their special day for them, and I wish them nothing but happiness starting their journey together!
