Fall colors, golden light, leaf fights… what more could I ask for in an engagement session?

I’m so excited to be working with my FAVORITE wedding planners Bixby+Pine for this wedding in October at Marionfield Farm and when Courtney was describing the colors and vibe she wanted for her day I knew these two were my dream couple. I loved that these two were completely themselves during their session and in between moments of looking like total models, were laughing together and letting the sarcasm and jokes fly.

I get asked a lot about outfits for engagement sessions and here’s an example of why I love having a few different looks! We stayed at the same location the whole time, a park in Gig Harbor, but the outfit changes add variety to the photos. I’m always happy to give opinions on outfits and even have a Pinterest link I send out to my couples. I tend to recommend having a neutral base with pops of colors… nothing too crazy… and avoid super bright neon shades like the plague PLEASE that shit will reflect into your skin tone like a highlighter and nobody wants that. BUT if you have a tennis ball yellow dress you love, just give me a heads up and we can choose a location that will make it work. Communication is key. If you’re wearing a color that looks like it could come in a 4 pack of sharpie highlighters, let’s talk about it.
