I love hometown maternity sessions, and since Casey and I owned a home in Gig Harbor a few years ago, it’s nice to be able to return for my clients. This Gig Harbor maternity session featured the winter aesthetics that complemented Viviana’s outfit. If you’re wondering what to wear to your maternity session, this is a good example of working different neutrals together.
We had the brown of the grass and trees, which usually isn’t the vibe, but with the neutral sweater dress that Viviana chose, I thought it all went perfectly together. It made her beautiful dark hair and red lips stand out.
I’ve got several different packages, even for my portrait sessions. In this case, they decided to book my package that includes a maternity shoot, newborn session, and one-year photos. I love when clients choose this package because it means I get to connect with them over a longer period of time, and see how their family grows and changes.
I recently got to take newborn photos and can’t wait to share those! But here is a peek at their maternity session in Gig Harbor.
Just like an engagement shoot is meant to celebrate that time period in your relationship, maternity is meant to show off the work you’ve done to grow this baby and your family. I make sure to give extra attention to the mama with some singular portraits. But, most of the time, they’ll include your partner because I like to think of it as your first family portrait.
If you’re interested in booking your own maternity session, or maybe on of my packages that includes maternity, newborn, and one year photos, please reach out to me! I’ve got all the advice on outfits, locations, and we’ll make each shoot ones you’ll want to put on the wall.
