We know I love a Chelan wedding. It somehow feels like a vacation even though I’m working while there. And being at Larc Hill wedding venue brings together so many great aspects. Rustic barn, the vines you want for a winery wedding, and sparkling blue waters in the distance. Another perk to getting married in Lake Chelan is that you’re almost guaranteed to have good weather.
You might remember Hannah and Daniel from this moody Lake Crescent engagement shoot we did in the fog! I’m glad they got the full spectrum between their engagement shoot and wedding day. That’s why I try to plan engagement shoots for a different time of year than your wedding, so that you get multiple options for weather and vibes. Of course, if you hate the rain, we’ll figure out a time when it’s warmer.
So many pieces of this wedding were amazing, from the carefully thought-out details to the golden hour in the vineyard to memorable speeches. But my favorite thing happened when Hannah joined the dance floor in her white cowboy hat. Not everyone can rock it, but she looked amazing and it added an extra touch of glamor to the dance photos.
If I can offer any advice, it’s to bring something of yourself to your wedding day. Even if you’re sticking to traditions, there are ways to bring who you as a couple or as individuals into the design. Looking back at the pictures in years to come, who you were in that moment will be special.
This day wouldn’t have been possible without a stellar vendor team. True Expressions Weddings and Events planned the perfect day. Kayla Kollection did hair and makeup. And the stunning florals were created by Twisted Willow Floral.
